It is forever my mission to stay in all of the cute a-frame cabins around the Pacific Northwest. The Oregon coast is a wonderful place to vacation and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the world. Finding cute cabin rentals on the Oregon coast is a bit trickier than popular locations inland. Luckily I found this cute cabin tucked in Tillamook is this cute woodsy oceanside A-frame cabin with a hot tub! Looking for A-Frames and this one is booked? Be sure to read my blog post on A-Frames in the Pacific Northwest.
In this blog post you will find full details on the A-frame, what to do while you’re here, and what to expect.
Where Is Tillamook?
Just North of Pacific City along the Oregon coast is the area of Tillamook, in Netart Bay, home to Netarts Bay Oysters! With it’s close proximity to Portland Oregon coast cabins are a bit more abundant in Netarts Bay, and we saw quite a few getting built.
From Portland: 1.5 hours
From Seattle: 4 hours and 20 minutes
The Cabin
I have stayed in quite a few A-frame cabins before and this was by far the largest one that I’ve stayed in. Walking into the basement there is a living room and cozy couch for movies, two bunkbeds and a full bathroom. Even a laundry room which was quite nice for my friends who live in their vans! Being a newly remodeled cabin it has quite a bit of availability, book this Oregon Coast Rental online through Airbnb!
The second floor is complete with a full bath, bedroom, and cute kitchen! The lofted space has a king sized bed and gorgeous views of the woods through the giant windows. My favorite part? The hot tub! Even though this cabin is in a neighborhood development the giant trees provide peace, privacy, and serenity.
Comfortably, this cabin can sleep 4 adults and 4 kids! With two living rooms there is ample space for people to work remotely, make time for writing, and playing for the kiddos.

What To Do In Tillamook?
Tillamook is a small area, so if you’re looking to venture out there is a little bit of driving required. Staying in your cabin rental along the Oregon coast all day is completely understandable too, especially during rainy season.
Drive the Three Capes Scenic Loop: this drive nearly starts from the cabin and will take you to many scenic viewpoints. This is 40 miles long and can take all day depending how much stopping is done. Cape Meares is home to a lighthouse and a giant octopus tree! Make the time to stop in Pacific City for a brew at Pelican Brewery or maybe a hike up Cape Kiwanda!
Netarts Bay Oysters: If clamming for yourself is preferred, be sure to get a permit and the proper tools in advance. We had dinner at The Schooner Restaurant and Lounge where we had the delicious Netarts Bay oysters and cocktails!
Beach and Hiking Destinations
Elk Mountain: Looking for a harder hike to complete in the area? Head to king’s mountain loop for this 11.6 mile hike with stunning views of the lush green mountains.
McPhillips Beach: Just south of Tillamook is McPhillips Beach, a beach that you can drive on! Be sure to check the tide map for low tide as driving or walking on the beach at high tide can be dangerous, especially if you’re walking down to the North side of Cape Kiwanda to see the infamous arch and watch the paragliders. We chose to walk from the parking lot instead of driving from the beach, which was a mile.
Tunnel Beach: Located just 5 minutes from the cabin is the Tunnel Beach walk. /you actually walk through a dark, wet tunnel that was carved through the mountainside! We were brought to this beautiful beach, and it was quite foggy!
